Programming Yaesu FT-857d

1. All you need is normal CAT cable, used for rig control via computer and Chirp software.
2. Press and hold < and > keys on transceiver and turn it on, the station should go into clone mode.
3. Press C key on radio (the one saying SEND).
4. Run Chirp, load data form radio by selecting Radio -> Download from radio.
5. Edit channels as needed.
6. Press A key (RCV) on the radio when you are all set and select Radio -> Upload to radio.
7. Your FT-857d is ready for action :)
8. If you are using automatic tuner like LDG YT-100, press the Tune button momentarily to put the tuner in bypass mode.
